Bath Area Youth Basketball 2023-2024
Player development and skills are the main focus of our Youth Basketball program. This program is designed for children 2nd through the 6th grade within the RSU #1, West Bath & Georgetown District.
Boys and girls are placed on teams and will participate in practices and games each week. Good sportsmanship, team play, individual skill development and fun will be emphasized.
*Teams are formed based on the number of coach's available. Once teams are full registration will go to a Wait List. If you are interested in coaching please contact Dana at DDelahanty@cityofbath.com.
Registration wait list will begin November 16th or when teams become full.
Practice days are determined by coaches availability. We understand that kids are involved in other activities so please let us know if a certain day of the week does not work for your family. We will do our best to accommodate other activities, travel issues, and siblings.
Please bring your own basketball if you already have one. Extra balls will be provided to coaches.
Sizing:
2nd Grade Size 25.5 or 27.5
3rd-4th Grade Size 28.5
5th-6th Grade Size 28.5
Practices Start: Week of November 27th
First Games: December 9th
No Practices or games from December 23-Jan 1
Practices Resume the week of January 2nd
Games Resume January 6th
Last Games of Season: January 27th
Make up Date: February 3rd
2nd Grade Co-Ed:
One hour practice a week. Games on Saturday mornings
3rd/4th Grade Boys and Girls (Or Co-ed):
One hour and a half practice a week. Games on Saturday mornings
If we do not have enough participants to form two groups, Boys and Girls, teams will be co-ed.
5th/6th Grade Boys and Girls:
Two hour and a half practices a week.Games on Saturday mornings
(Some Games will be played against Brunswick, Wiscasset, Richmond and RSU 5- Freeport)
