Ice Skate Loaner Program

Our FREE Ice Skate Loaner Program is celebrating YEAR 7!
Ready to hit the ice this winter? Bath Parks and Recreation is here to help you lace up and get skating!
We have figure skates, hockey skates, and adjustable skates available, with sizes ranging from youth size 8 all the way up to adult men’s size 12! There’s a good chance we have a pair for you!
WHO IS ELIGIBLE? This program is available ONLY to residents of:
- RSU #1 towns
- Georgetown
- West Bath
HOW TO GET YOUR SKATES
STEP 1: Register! Sign up using the registration link at the bottom of this page. New to the program? You’ll need to create an account and be approved before requesting a skate size.
STEP 2: Watch your email! *Once registered, you’ll receive an email invitation with available dates and times to schedule your skate fitting.
STEP 3: Come get fitted! Fittings are held at 4 Sheridan Road.
*Appointments are required! Please don’t just show up at the office. We need to confirm that your requested sizes are in stock and that staff are available.
HOW LONG CAN I KEEP MY SKATES?
You can keep your loaner skates until March 2027. We’ll contact you when it’s time to return them. Please return your skates when requested. Unreturned skates may result in a $50 replacement charge per pair.
BONUS: SKATE SHARPENING FOR JUST $5!
Keep those edges sharp all winter! Drop your skates off at the Bath Parks and Recreation office, and we’ll sharpen them for just $5 per pair. We’ll give you a call when they’re ready for pickup!
HAVE SKATES TO DONATE?
We’re always happy to accept donations of skates in good usable condition to help more people get out on the ice! You can drop them off at the Rec office or use the skate donation box outside the front doors.
