This program is for children in grades 1 - 6 within the RSU #1, West Bath & Georgetown District. Beyond being fun and inclusive, soccer offers countless benefits that extend far beyond the field. From the physical benefits of playing soccer to its role in building character, this sport has a unique way of shaping young lives.Our goals are to teach fundamental soccer skills in a setting that focuses on fun, building confidence, teamwork, good sportsmanship and healthy competition.  Grades 1-2 (Co-ed) 1 practice (1 hour) and 1 game per week (Saturday mornings) Practices & games will take place at Hawkes or Kimball Field (Behind the Rec. Dept)  Grades 3-4 (Co-ed unless we receive enough participants to separate) 1 practice (1 hour & 30 minutes) and 1 game per week (Saturday mornings) Practices & games will take place at Varnum Field Grades 5-6 (Co-ed unless we receive enough participants to separate) 2 practices (1 hour & 30 minutes) and 1 game per week (Saturday mornings) Practices will take place on Legion Field or Varnum Field  Home games will take place on Varnum Field. Away games with local communities TBD. Practices start the week of September 1 Games will begin on September 13 Final game of the season will be on October 18 with a make-up date on October 25 (if needed) Practice day and time will depend on coaches availability Bath Rec provides a team shirt Cleats and shin guards must be provided by the participant Mouth guards are required for Grades 3-6 *Teams are formed based on the number of coaches available. This program is for children in grades 1 - 6 within the RSU #1, West Bath & Georgetown District. Beyond being fun and inclusive, soccer offers countless benefits that extend far beyond the field. From the physical benefits of playing soccer to its role in building character, this sport has a unique way of shaping young lives.Our goals are to teach fundamental soccer skills in a setting that focuses on fun, building confidence, teamwork, good sportsmanship and healthy competition.  Grades 1-2 (Co-ed) 1 practice (1 hour) and 1 game per week (Saturday mornings) Practices & games will take place at Hawkes or Kimball Field (Behind the Rec. Dept)  Grades 3-4 (Co-ed unless we receive enough participants to separate) 1 practice (1 hour & 30 minutes) and 1 game per week (Saturday mornings) Practices & games will take place at Varnum Field Grades 5-6 (Co-ed unless we receive enough participants to separate) 2 practices (1 hour & 30 minutes) and 1 game per week (Saturday mornings) Practices will take place on Legion Field or Varnum Field  Home games will take place on Varnum Field. Away games with local communities TBD.
