This is a competitive program for players aged 9, 10, 11, & 12. A skill assessment for all players will be held. Players will receive communication from a coach for team placement within the week following the skill assessment. “Player Age” for determining placement is their age on April 30, 2026.
The fee for participation in the program is $55. Scholarships available upon request- bathyouthbaseball04530@gmail.com
Eligibility / Team Placement / Dates
-Players' legal residence must be in an RSU1 town, West Bath, Georgetown OR attend an RSU1 school.
-We are not able to accommodate specific team placement other than those involving siblings.
We offer two divisions:
Majors for players ages 11 and 12 see age chart above.
Game Days- Monday/Wednesday 6pm
Minors for players ages 9 and 10 see age chart above.
Game Days- Tuesday/Thursday 5:45pm
-Practice schedules to be determined by your player’s coach.
-Games will begin the week of April 27th (weather permitting)
Evaluations
-Player evaluations will be held on March 29 at Morse High School:
Minors (arrive by 8:30) 8:45am - 9:45am
Majors (arrive by 9:45) 10:00am - 11:00am
-You will be notified of your player’s team placement by April 3rd.
Equipment
-All players must have their own glove and helmet.* Baseball pants and cleats are recommended. *We can provide equipment if needed.
-Team bats, and catcher gear to be shared will be provided as in previous years.
-All baseball bats must be USA Baseball certified.
*Petitioning up - A player under the age of 9 may petition up to the Minors Division. Petitions are not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. A petitioning player cannot displace a 9- or 10-year-old. A petition form will need to be filled out. The decision will be solely that of the board of directors and will be communicated to the parent by the league President.
Bath Rec offers a Farm league for players ages 7 and 8.

Steps to Petition Up to Cal Ripken for 7 and 8 year olds
- If your child is 7 or 8 years old and you want to petition up to the Cal Ripken Minor team, you will first need to register in our Farm Team program.
- You can find the petition form below. Please print and provide the form to the Cal Ripken League President.
- If the petition is successful, the president will let us know and your child will then be transferred over to the Cal Ripken team.
