Bath Youth Soccer is a recreational soccer program dedicated to providing an opportunity to all young people to learn and play soccer.Beyond being fun and inclusive, soccer offers countless benefits that extend far beyond the field. From the physical benefits of playing soccer to its role in building character, this sport has a unique way of shaping young lives.The league runs for 6 weeks and includes weekday evening practices and one Saturday morning game each week. Games are non-competitive and emphasize participation, effort, and sportsmanship over winning. Bath Parks & Recreation is proud to present: Barn Quilt Painting Class with Saskia Reinholt!Saskia is a colorist, multi-media artist, and teacher who loves to paint in oils and acrylics. Saskia created over 70 barn quilt murals and founded the Maine Barn Quilt Trail. Her artistic endeavors are often influenced by geometry found in nature, known as the Golden ratio. Her love of color schemes is inspired by the natural environment through reflections of sunsets, sunrises, plants, and landscapes.Each participant will create their own barn quilt to take home and display either outdoors or indoors. Students will be able to choose from four sizes and a wide variety of designs and colors.Choose your colors, size, and from over 40 patterns.Choices of barn quilt sizes are: 1'x3', 2'x2', 3'x3' and 4'x4' Cost includes all supplies (exterior grade) and instruction by Saskia Reinholt. Students will learn about the history of barn paintings, color theory, drafting a quilt block, and painting techniques.
